Summer 2013, Week 2

While it may seem that things are boring around here, every day is a bit of an adventure.  The boys are adjusting to Mama being home everyday and I am adjusting to being able to love each and every second with them!

We continued on with out sight words games and played outside during the beautiful weather!

Waylon also mastered writing a W!  I'm so proud!!!

We also enjoyed some yummy breakfast out on the courtyard!  This is my heaven on earth!  JUST LOVE IT OUT THERE!

Wesson got down his four first cards and said good, nose, vroom, baba (for brother), and Yay this week.

Oh and we did some letter and color recognition through the you tube videos!  The boys LOVE these!

Waylon showed us just how tough he was by getting blood taken out of each arm!  My poor little guy!

We played in Mama and Dada's room by jumping off the bed and onto the pile of pillows!  IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Mama and Dada had a date night....our first one since January 1st while the boys stayed with Grandma!  I just love my Man so much and am so blessed that the Lord choose me to be his wife!  It really was an amazing time.
We spent the morning at the zoo with Ms. Nicole and our buddy Jaxson!  It was a fabulous way to start the day and the boys had a blast checking out all the animals.

Way did his photo shoot at the amazing Scoops, Soups and More store for the Central Valley Family First Magazine that will be coming out next month!  We can't wait to see it!

We enjoyed a few family dining out at our typical spots; Sals
and the Red Caboose.
Mama picked up RUNNING!  Well, I made a goal to do something I am terrible at and do it just for me!  Hoping it will be a good thing for me both physically and mentally...since I haven't worked out in FOUR years!  (lame, I know!)  I am only running a 1/2 mile but its a good start!  I hope to be doing a 5K sometime this fall!

We finished the weekend by doing a little swimming at Grammy and Papa's house.

But the boys fell asleep on the way home...

so we took "the long way home" and headed out on a drive to Pine Flat!  Hubby and I used to do this ALL the time!  It was like a little mini vacation!  Nice and Relaxing!

We are spending a ton of time in the backyard too!  Playing in and with water!  WE LOVE SUMMER TIME!
Oh and check out these Smores Dada created too...MMM MMM GOOD!

Oh and what crazy thing did we do on a Friday night...we had a BLAST (I'm not being sarcastic) cleaning the car as a family!  OH and McQueen got a good scrub down too!  Love being with my family!

Wesson Lee turned 14 MONTHS old!  How did that happen?  He is just getting so big!

Oh and we are busy playing referee between the boys over this chair!!! Bug is clearly marking his territory here!
SO in an attempt to try to get these two wild ones to focus more on being sweeter to each other ....we started a Brotherly Love chart!  Every time they do something sweet and loving towards the other, we write it down.  Once they get 20 things on the chart...we are getting pizza and ice cream for dinner!  It is really nice to focus on their little acts of love and to have it written down.  It is easy to forget the good and just think of the referee moments, but we have some pretty super sweet boys!

Well....I am just loving these boys and the memories we are making!  Nothing too exciting, no extravagant vacations...but just enjoying the daily gifts that the Lord has given us and eachother!

Wesson Lee...you are 14 months old today! A few things about you!!!

I just cant believe it Baby Brother Bug-a-Lug! You are 14 months old today!

You are the sweetest baby boy ever and the snuggly king.... BUT You also have a "don' t back up, don't back down" kind of attitude too!

You love to read yourself.
...
You are fearless and will run right through cold sprinklers and right into the pool too.

Your hair looks like Doc's from Back to the Future when you get out of bed!

You are STILL waking up 1-3 times a night to nurse. ( I plan on some extreme backpack during your high school years). Good thing Mama loves your lovins!

You are learning to talk more and more and call Waylon Ba-Ba!

We always catch you eating paper.

You just starting getting mild eczema! :(

You love to play outside and chase your brother around.

You are inquisitive and interested in everything going in around you. You don't miss a
single thing!

We just love you Wesson Lee! You are the most amazing Baby Brother ever and we couldn't imagine a minute with our you!

Summer 2013 Week 1

In order to make sure I have an accurate account of just how much fun we are having this summer....I am going to TRY to blog weekly about what we did the week before.

So here we go with week 1....

Mini picked the first book he wants to read on his own, Mater's Best Friend.  So we are currently working on Sight words...here are the three games we played this week in order to get those words down.

We spent a wonderful morning at the park!

Mama worked on her photography a bit with my FAVORITE picture props!

We hosted a fabulous playdate with friends (can't believe I didn't get any pictures) and also spent one morning at the library!

We got some great books on the solar system which is the other area that Mini and I are working on currently.  He already knows that there are 8 (or 9) planets, Jupiter is the biggest, Mars is red, and the Sun is the most important since they all rotate around it!  He is a brainiac!

Wesson is working on his flash cards.  Currently, dog, two bunnies, yellow ducky, blue fish and red tomato.  He also said thanks, fish, and yes for the first time this week!

Waylon and I made homemade popsicles and we have been enjoying eating those outside and the warmer weather.

The boys pretended to be archeologist and carved out the water animals out of a frozen piece of ice.  Funny to watch them to this.  Wes just dove right in and bang on it.  Waylon thought about it and tried to decipher the easiest way to get the animals out!  I love how they are both so different and fabulous!  OH NOTE TO SELF....skip the blue dye next time in order to avoid the boys turning into smurfs!

Waylon finished his second week in swimming and is KILLING it!  So proud of our little fish!

And Wes loves cheering him on!

Waylon had his skin tested and we discovered he is allergic to EVERYTHING!  Mostly environmental!  Made my heartache to see him suffer!

FATHER'S day ...turned into Father's WEEK when the boys started to give their Dad a gift a day!  That's ok..he deservers it!  We had a blast celebrating our special dada!  Here are some of the things we did for Dada!

We also spent some time celebrating the world's best Papa and Grandpa too!

I got FOUR hours of Mama time at the spa when I used the gift card some of my besties got me!  IT WAS CRAZY....to have that time for myself!

We celebrated one of our favorite friends, Hudson turning 3!! His party was AWESOME!

What a pleasure it is to be home with my babies and to be able to focus on my family 100%!  Looking forward to the rest of the summer!
