And the MAGIC letter of the day is P

So...today's magic letter at the PEARCE house was P!  We started by looking at a letter P and discussing what sound it makes.  Then we went about our day!

This morning we PICKED up our trucks and then PLAYED with PRESLEI.  This afternoon, we made PINK, strawberry cookies to snack on!

And a PUPPET PIG with PINK, triangle ears, two circular eyes, and a pink, square nose!

We discussed how the PIGGY is PINK, says Oink-oink, and lives on a farm!

On the other side of the piggy....we wrote some of our other favorite "P" words!

Finally, we PRAYED before digging into our snack!

This was a lot of fun to carry the theme all day through our cooking and craft!  What a fun and SUPER SMART Mini Man I have!

Love and Marriage

This past weekend, I experienced one of the greatest privileges in the world.  My best friend asked me to be her Matron of Honor in her wedding.  And on top of that, our precious Mini Man got to be her ring bearer.  Now, I have always loved fairy tales, weddings and happily ever afters.  Lindsay's wedding was beautiful, sincere, exciting, and truly, she looked like she stepped right out of magazine.  It was so amazing to see that she had finally found her very own prince charming and to be a part of this huge step into the next stage in her life.

She got married at New Hope Community Church.  This is the same place the Hubby and I tied the knot too.  Standing up there, really got me thinking.

We have now been married three and half year (I think this still makes us newlyweds) and wow....life has really changed and the Lord has blessed us more than I could ever have imagined.  I am really lucky, I am married to a man I couldn't imagine my life without.  He makes every day of my life better by being a part of it.  Derrick and I are like night and day, which is probably why we work, but I know the Lord created him just for me.  He is strong, he ALWAYS has my back, he loves me when I don't deserve it, he is forgiving, he is funny, he is low key, and he is a remarkable  and completely involved daddy.  He lifts me up when I need it and never puts anything else before me!  I couldn't imagine being with anyone else for the rest of my life.  And raising these boys...there isn't a better man in the world to be the father on our boys.  Mini is just like his daddy too!  And, I wouldn't have it any other way!

So for me...the BEST decision I have ever made in this life....is to become Mrs. Derrick Pearce.   I am so thankful the Lord has given us each other and the gift of everlasting and unconditional love that we share.  We are not perfect, we fight, we get on each other's nerves...but we are real and the love we share is too.  We make each other better...I really believe that.  And with keeping GOD at the center of our marriage....I know we can survive anything!  LOVE NEVER FAILS!

I would marry DLP over and over and over again!  I wish this for my BEST friend and her new hubby too!

Things I have learned from my Mama!

Today, I will be getting together with the women in my family to celebrate my Mama!  Anyone who knows my Mama, knows she is nothing short of a miracle worker.  She doesn't require sleep or feel pain...just make sure she has her coffee in the morning and at 3:00PM and she can move moutains.  Becoming a Mama, has made me appreciate my mom EVEN more!!  I am blessed to have the kind of mom that I talk to atleast 3 times a day, who is ALWAYS willing to give advice :), who has always put me first, and who will drop ANYHING if I need her!  I have so many special memories with her; going to park, reading at the library, her taking me to my first dance class, watching her make my prom dress, listening to her read my history homework to me, shopping for the perfect outfit for 49ers interviews, doing mission trips in Mexico, creating clothes and bedding for my precious boys, and going to get our toes and nails done AGAIN so they would be perfect for when I gave birth.
As I get older....I am daily turning more and more into her!  And, that is totally fine with me!  I recently read a quote that motivated me....
"Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity...they think of you"!  This is my Mama !!  I can only hope to be half the Mom to my kids as she has been to me!  I don't think she will ever know how much I love her and appreciate her!   So of course, my Mom has taught me how to read, put on make-up, and all the other daily tasks.  But, here are some very important lessons she has taught me, through words or actions, that have carried me through more difficult times!

Things I learned from my Mama...
1. Sometimes you have to do what you don't want to do .
2. People will treat you as bad as you let them.
3. Buy a cute outfit...if you feel good....you will do good.
4. You can be BOTH smart and pretty.
5. You ALWAYS stand up for your kids, husband, and family.
6. Have an opinion! Share it and mean it!
7. Give to others more than they would give to you.
8. If you are gonna do something...do it right
9. You have to be a friend to have friends
10.  There are worse things then being single.
11. You can always accomplish more than you think you can .
12. If you can't be the best, be the cutest.
13.  PRAY ABOUT IT!

Thank you Mama for all you have shown me, taught me, and how you have ALWAYS believed in me and pushing me!  You have been the perfect example of being the Mama of a family and I hope to do the same in mine!

And now, thank you for being the most amazing Grammy and loving my boys so much!  It is true...
"The only thing better than having you as a Mama...is that my kids get to have you as a Grammy!"

We couldn't do it without you!  You may never know just how much my boys just adore their Grammy!  I hope today and always, you know...you are so loved, so appreciated and so special!!
LOVE YOU MAMA!  XOXO

There are these boys, they COMPLETELY stole my heart...they call me MOM (and Noodle)!

There are these boys, they COMPLETELY stole my heart...they call me MOM (and Noodle)!

So that picture sums up my whole world!  I am daily in shock of the blessings the Lord has given me; a  remarkably loving and supporting husband and 2 PERFECT and PRECIOUS baby boys to love and raise in this world.  Not every second of every day is all rainbows and lollipops....but I must say, most are pretty amazing!

Well, it is now Friday afternoon, so I guess it is safe to say I survived my first week of Derrick being back to work and being home by myself with my two boys.  Truthfully, Monday was ROUGH...not necessarily because of the boys but just happened to also have one of those days that everything that could go wrong, did!  But, the remainder of the week was not only good but IT WAS GREAT!  I have never been so happy and so thankful for each and everyday!  I am LOVING spending all day with my boys!  THERE IS NO WHERE ELSE I WOULD RATHER BE!  They keep me busy, on my toes, laughing, loving, and smiling all day long!  I am just on cloud nine!

This week we were lucky enough to have my sister in law take Wesson's newborn pictures!  Wesson Lee is just precious and remarkable!  He is a fabulous eater...eating almost every hour during the day and then only waking up once maybe twice at night for a quick snack before rolling back over and crashing out!   He is quickly gaining weight and growing and daily changing before our very eyes.  HE IS SO ALERT!  When his little eyes look at mine, I can barely breath!  And, he is a strong little toughy guns!  Long arms, legs, fingers and toe and a grip to kill.  If he doesn't want you to pull his arm straight...you probably aren't going to be able to!  Buggy was the perfect name for him too...he is my snuggle bug!  Loves to be held and loved on ALL THE TIME!  I wouldn't have it any other way!

Our precious Mini Man is now  a little over two!  (where did the time go?).  When I look at him, I just can't believe it!  But, out of all the people in my life; parents, family, friends, teachers...that precious little 3 foot tall boy has taught me more than ANYONE in my whole life!  He has taught me about unconditional love since there is nothing I wouldn't do for him, selflessness as NOTHING could ever come before him or his brother, heartbreak when I am forced to be away from him, fear when has gotten hurt or been sick,  joy when he says "I love you, Mama", pride when I heard him count to ten for the first time or recite all his colors, excitement as I watched him take his first steps, anger when I have seen him get hurt or neglected by others, and thankfulness when I think about the fact that God could have given him (and now his brother) to anyone to raise and he choose ME to be his Mommy!  Of course, he has also taught me that even my kid will through a fit on the floor at the grocery store and tell me "no" but it is all worth it!  I love him more and more, each and every day!

If I have learned anything from Wesson being born, it is that love really does multiply and not divide!  Our home is now just filled with even more love then before!!  I am so thankful to be surrounded by 3 boys that make my heart beat so fast and make me laugh!  We are not a perfect family, but one thing my boys will always know is that they are LOVED!  And...that Mama RULES! :)

"They know me in a way that me to to one else ever has.  They open me to things I never knew existed.  They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths.  They are the beat of my heart, the pulse of my veins, and the energy in my soul.  They are my BOYS!"
